The Schwalbe Eddy Current revolutionises the electric mountain bike tyre market.
It’s the first E-MTB specific tyre from Schwalbe that addresses the demands of All-Mountain and Enduro riding, delivering massive climbing traction, with fierce acceleration and plenty of control for technical trails. Stable blocks, an increased rubber density & a wide profile make the Eddy Currenta super tough tyre that’s ready to handle the extra stresses that come along with the heavier chassis & higher speeds of an E-bike.
With a specially adapted tread design for front and rear, the Eddy Currentfeatures blocks that are roughly around 20% bigger than other traditional Enduro/All Mountain profiles. This aggressive and open design with V-Grooves in the centre helps deliver direct and precise steering characteristics. As well as being the perfect contact patch for efficient power transmission from the motor to the ground.
The Super Gravity construction utilises apex-reinforced sidewalls and a robust centre to stand up to the toughest trails, complete with all around SnakeSkin coverage for excellent protection against cuts. The Addix Soft Compound used on the Eddy Current rolls easily, delivering great damping and full grip. It’s just as at home on enduro and downhill courses as it is on all-mountain and trail rides
